Chief Executive Officer and Financial Architect

Bob helps families approaching retirement understand exactly where they stand, so the transition from earning to drawing income feels clear instead of uncertain. He has held senior level planning positions for over 40 years, with three Fortune 500 companies and one state agency, and is currently Chief Executive Officer and Financial Architect for Oaks Financial Services, where he concentrates on the areas of tax, estate, and distribution strategies for individuals and small businesses. He is one of only 200 Financial Advisors in the United States who is trained on the most advanced retirement distribution research from the noted retirement distribution expert, Curtis Cloke. Bob has led international Habitat for Humanity Builds to eight countries on six different continents. He has been married over 45 years to Shelley, and they have three grown children and three grandchildren, who all live in Minnesota.

Financial Advisor and Director of Marketing

Andy focuses on helping individuals and families gain clarity and confidence in their financial lives through education-first planning at Oaks Financial Services. Andy began his career in education nearly 20 years ago, teaching economics and history before transitioning into special education. Throughout his career, he has been passionate about helping students break down complex ideas and build the understanding they need to move forward with confidence. Today, he brings that same approach to financial planning. Andy works primarily with individuals and families who feel stuck, behind, or unsure if they are on the right track financially. His goal is to simplify complex financial concepts, remove confusion, and help clients clearly understand where they stand and what steps to take next. He believes that when people truly understand their finances, they make better decisions and feel more confident about their future. Rather than focusing on products, Andy emphasizes education, clear planning, and consistent guidance, helping clients build a strategy that fits their real lives. In addition to his work with families, Andy also collaborates on strategies that help business owners think through long-term planning, including employee retention and compensation approaches. Outside of his professional work, Andy has volunteered with Habitat for Humanity on international trips to Portugal, Argentina, and China, and closer to home with the Burnsville YMCA and his local school foundation. He lives with his wife, Alicia, and their six-year-old son, now in first grade. These days, that includes a seat on the school's finance committee, where his professional eye for numbers comes in handy outside the office too.

Dan spent 35 years in the consumer products industry, retiring as Senior Vice President of Sales where he led cross-functional teams and partnered with large retail companies to grow their business. He has also been a client of Oaks for over 20 years, and Oaks gave him the confidence to retire in his mid-50s. He realized there might be something more to retirement than fishing and joined the team to bring a client's perspective to everything we do. Today he utilizes every product line Oaks provides in his own portfolio, which means he has a personal stake in making sure those products continue to serve your needs. He has been married over 35 years and has three adult children and three grandchildren.
